What is MAH MBA CET?

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for MBA/MMS (MAH MBA CET) is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, for admission to postgraduate management programs such as MBA and MMS in over 300 government, university, and private institutes across Maharashtra. Established under the Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions and Fees) Act, 2015, MAH MBA CET assesses candidates' aptitude in Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension. Annually, over 1.5 lakh candidates appear, competing for approximately 45,000 seats. While primarily for Maharashtra domicile candidates (65–85% seats reserved), it is open to All India candidates (15–35% seats) via valid scores in MAH MBA CET, CAT, CMAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA, or GMAT. The exam ensures a centralised admission process (CAP) with merit-based allotment and reservations for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD.
